My Story
I’ve always had thin hair. I’ve never had hair people wished they had. It’s so thin, it gets brittle and breaks off. Also, it gets dry and has a texture that just feels stringy. It gets easily tangled and looks dull. When I try to use products to give it volume, my hair just looks greasy and doesn’t look pretty at all.
I have extentions, which help add thickness to my hair, but I’ve gone through multiple sets because even those break off and get frizzy. I assumed I wasn’t taking care of them properly, but that may not have been the issue.
I recently moved to my new apartment and one thing all my neighbors complained about was the water. They said the water turned their hair gray and left a white film on their skin. That got me thinking. What if the reason why my hair is so brittle and dull is due to the water?
I decided to do some research and found the Jolie shower head with built-in filter. Jolie said that the filtered water helped not only hair, but skin as well. I’ve always had bad skin as well. Growing up, I struggled with acne and clogged pores due to dry skin cells. I went to get professional facials to find that out. It got better, but I still struggle with dry skin on my face.
I decided I wanted to try the Jolie shower head filter system so I reached out to the Jolie team to collaborate with them. They contacted me back and agreed to gift me a Jolie filtered shower head! I chose the retro red color! I am very interested to see the results!
A few days later, my new shower head appeared and I opened it up! It was gorgeous and easy to install. Being the lifestyle blogger and photographer I am, I styled the shower head by placing a cute plant in the shower next to the retro red shower head! I have an initial review below after just one use, then I’ll share another review after using it for awhile to see if I notice any long term effects! Stay tuned!
Initial Review After First Use
PROS:
●The water pressure was not effected, in fact, the pressure improved!
●The stream that flows from the filtered head was perfection, not too hard that it feels like its puncturing your skin, but not too soft like its just falling on you. Gives a light message!
●The style of the head is wide so it covers more surface area of your body
●The retro red color is classy and unique, which I LOVE! Looks are a bonus!
●After one time use, I noticed my skin and hair was softer, before it felt like that dry feeling you get when getting out of a chlorinated pool
●The brand is easy to talk to and efficient so if I ever need them, I’m confident I will get a response from the service team.
CONS:
●You have to remember to buy new filters for your Jolie every 3 or 4 months to upkeep the performance
●The price point of the shower head is a little steep, but I would rather spend the money on my skin health rather than expensive makeup or moisturizers to repair or cover my skin…so it’s a con, but also a pro, I guess
●The installation was a little harder than I thought, but I first installed it without the included tape, like the instructions specified, so water sprayed until I completed all the steps
