STYLE TIP: My Favorite Easy Look For Summer!

Athletic dresses are so quick to throw on and go!

WEARING AN ATHLETIC DRESS

This is by far my ultimate favorite piece of clothing I’ve grabbed this summer! It’s just one piece and you’re put together! Plus, it has everything you need from built in pockets, bra, and shorts! I try to keep an athletic dress in my car all summer because I can change so easily if I get hot. Don’t have to worry if bra straps work with this top or forgetting shorts. Makes it so simple and it’s a cute look!

They have so many cute styles and colors these days! I wear the black dresses the most, but I own them in white, blue, and green! They are also cooling in the heat of summer because you don’t have a lot of layers sticking to you. I will say, if you are planning on being in direct sun, black will be warmer so I would go with a lighter color in those situations. I was at a baseball game in the heat and it got toasty! I love how black doesn’t stand out too much, makes you appear thinner, and matches everything so I tend to gravitate towards my black ones the most though.

This may be too much information, but many girls are not on board with the dresses because of the extra steps during the bathroom process. Some say it’s hard to use the restroom, but it’s so stretchy, all you have to do is pull it to the side and sit on it to hold it in place while going lol You don’t have to take it all the way down to go! I have gotten a dress where there is a slit in the back where you can slide it down to make it simpler so you don’t have to undress, if the other option is not for you.

ACCESSORIES

Since it doesn’t take much effort to throw on a one piece, that gives you more time to accessorize! I usually throw a ballcap on, some chunky rings, maybe a necklace, and a trendy pair of shoes like Mary Janes, Adidas sneakers, or platform sandals.

I’m always cold in air conditioning, especially at grocery stores and at the office, so I will tie a flannel or jean jacket around my waist for those moments I get cold. I usually thrift them oversized in the men’s section. This also gives you more length on the back, if you want more coverage than the built-in shorts have.

Speaking of thrifting, I also like finding purses while at thrift stores because they are unique and made with more quality. To modernize them and give an extra boost to an outfit, adding purse charms are such a cute way to elevate an outfit! Many places are selling them now.
